8310 Vibrating motor not working

I have a 8310 and the vibrating motor just doesnt work anymore. I have taken it out and checked it with a power supply and it works fine. The connections are all clean and normal. Does it need to be flashed? Or is it hardware related?

I worked out the problem. It must be a bug with v5.57 (or maybe even later). If you play a ringtone or a message tone within profiles, the tune will play, but not vibrate. If you recieve a message or a call the phone will vibrate then.
