i have been searching "02 FC" from full flash, but there seems not be those i received.

i thought they are saved in eeprom or PMM, but no..

or have i rip them off with fbus cable when i receive them with phone that don't support them?

AT+CMGF=0
AT+CMGR=1
or something would be enough to take received ringtones in hex?

You can extract them from eeprom with MyGnokii (http://marcin-wiacek.topnet.pl)

There's more about this in old topic on this forum.

Hi,

Better find 024A3A in eeprom.

cgml and cmgl are for sms'es.
I could never find logo in at commands.

and yes, i thought it could be easy to rip them off from sms's, save own backup as ReallyCoolTone.sms so i could send to my friend who maybe don't want different tones to ppm.

yeah.. i almost guessed that mygnokii won't support 5510.

mygnokii says that entry is empty.. maybe tries to look wrong address?
is there any patch or something for mygnokii win32 gui that i could read tones from eeprom and save as .re?

well.. no, because no vb40032 on my brothers computer.
i'll check it when i got more time for that.

but, if it is for 3310, i guess it won't understand 5510 because eeprom is bigger and different address?

i hope it's not packed with some kind of exepack, if i can change the addres for eeprom..

btw, still waiting for mygnokii 5510 support...

logomanager can let us save our ringtone in inbox for later sending.
any idea how to take out the ringtone from inbox and send it using icq sms for free to my friend phone.

@Manipulator

ICQ can't let you send ringtone or binary data over thier sms system, for sending ringtone or picture you need a sms gateway which support binary or unicode system.

it is possible to convert that data taken from sim card, but how?
tones are some how encrypted to have tone name?

with mygnokii is possible to take this kind of tones from eeprom, so why somebody would not use this sourcecode to make software that reads from sim and saves as .txt that can be converted to .re?

i will not mess with sourcecodes. every time i have compiled some programs, they won't work. if they have gui, gui seems to be ok, but the program won't work. don't ask why, i don't know.

in sms, is this correct that starting with 0x06 it is normal sms, starting with 0x0B it is continued?

i have 11 sms's in my sim, not sure how many tones, some are 2 or 3 part tones.

and i still have 5510...

Hi,

All things U guys suggest can be done.

Since 'sms' language is absolutely not Nokia dependend.
Only the result is phone specific.

From my head the GSM 0705 spec and the ETSI 0305 about sms data protocol.

That way U can learn about how to use the data headers, Coding schemes, Message Classes etc.
Those parameters decide what is on the sms.
Like tone, logo, text, or other data types.

Find out how to make Ur own ringtone sms'es which can be send by any phone.
Or logo, VCard, Email, Blinking....

Use pure fbus/mbus or the AT commands to communicate.
Then U can send to in/outbox, or send via air.

Mr. stallone1,
The program is far from perfect and came without support.

@NokDoc

nfreetone works with 5510, but i got only first 2 tones.
and then it would be nice to get Save As .txt.
