Hi All,

I am having problems with Rolis DCT3 Flasher 4.79. I am trying to get it to run on my laptop running Win2000. I can get it to work on a desktop machine and hence the cables i am using must be fine.

The settings I have tried are
EPP Parallel Mode
UserPort is running

When I try and use any function such as read default flash size, the message "Power On Phone" comes up and I do this, but the software does not respond and the fone actually switches on. Also my processor maxes out (100%) and I have to use Task Manager to shut it down. Has anyone else had this prob, any ideas. Has it anything to do with the fact that I am using a laptop.

Regards

Cheers for the reply. I am running User Port. Its an IBM T22 laptop, and it just wont let me use Rolis 4.79. Ive even installed Win98SE and i still cant get it to work.

Hi, some laptop has open collector output on printer port. So in this case you will need to apply an external pull-up for each output pin you use. Output related to PC (or input for flasher)... If this is your case, you will need to connect a 10k Ohm resistor (or 4k7) between Vcc and each used output printer port pin. I hope to be clear. Sorry for my english.

Change the port mode to ECP in the Bios, and ensure that you have the correct LPT port select in settings in Rolis! Try both!
