Does anyone know if unlcoking a920 really works?

Does anyone know if the unlocking service advertised by lots of people actually unlocks the a920? If it does what does it unlock? Ability to use any software? Ability to use on other networks (why would you do this.??) Or whatever!

I'd appreciate any advise or helpful comments

It works, I have tried it on a A920 from 3G UK and the phone can now be used in Canada on Rogers AT&T. I used the codes from gsm-software.com.

$12 is very cheap considering 3G are trying to charge customers £115 ($200) for the unlock code - YES, THATS £115 ($200)
