Hi everyone, I recently got an NGage after all the marketing persuaded me....

I have to say the NGage hardware is powerful, and I am satisfied mostly with everything.... except THE SCREEN!!!!

I find the screen is very frustrating... b/c it's SMALL and VERTICALLY LAYED OUT

Everytime I play a game for more than 15 minutes, my eyes gets very tired (I play in well lit enviro) b/c the screen is damn small! The nice colour and 3D graphics makes my eyes work even harder in a small window.

The vertical screen is damn annoying b/c in general most games are far easier to view horizontally than vertically... E.g. when I play TB, I want to see mostly where I can run and turn to, not the frigging sky... Sure, some games are better with vertical screen like virtual tennis, but I believe it's not the case in most games.

I love and hate the NGage (b/c of the screen). I think it would be 100^nth time better if they have a larger horizontal screen. The screen is 90% of this product if it's designed primaily for gaming!!!

I just need to let my frustration out..... please feel free to speak out what you think... I want to hear

Peace.

well... i love and hate n-gage too.. not because of the the screen that matters that much.( i have been using s60 phone for years so it's not a problem)it's the power consumption that matter the most!!

It is very irriating to have your phone charged twice a day!! imagine to have your phone out with you(work/school/outing) and afriad that the battery power draining fast within hours(4 hours gaming /8 hours mp3 / 12 hours radio)... man.. i hate it...

Nokia really have to take note on this...

or else i will have to get another spare battery with me... that would cost me about SD$40.. :(

sometimes, i think that it's much more worth it to get 6600. :)

My gage was going flat every 12 hours whilst just sat in my pocket.I took the phone back and the dealer swapped out the battery.he said he had heard that some of the batts had problems.Mine now lasts about 3-4 days in standby and about 2 days if i'm gaming etc.

Hey Samson19! Wow, there might be something wrong with your battery if it's draining this fast. I had a colour screen Samsung phone earlier and it doesn't play java games or mp3 or radio and man... that phone can't last for more than 10 hours without recharging given that I only make 20 mins of phone call at max b/n charging.

My N-Gage battery goes down very fast too when I play TB w/ the phone online. I would completely drain the battery in little more than an hour when playing TB (w/ the battery full initially).

I still hate the screen b/c my eyes got super tired again after playing TB for little over 15 mins... Nokia should put the task on enlarging the screen as one of the top redesigning priorities. Horizontal screen layout should also be on the redesigning list too... even though I don't know how the currnet ngage game would fit on a different dimension screen. Whatever, it's their problem since we are consumers.

Get the 6600 if you can afford it, if not P900 even better!

My dealer was going to swap the phone but he said he would try the battery first as he had heard the 3650 and n-gage batts(same units)can be problematic. He swapped out the battery for nothing here in the u.k but i reckon you should be covered where ever you live.
