If you're referring to N-Gage games then why didn't you just buy an N-Gage?

Most of the applications and games that are currently available for series 60 phones are not optimised for the 6600. Lets not forget that the 6600 is very new. Only now are some of the developers just updating their applications for 6600 - Wild Palm and Psiloc spring to mind.

In the meantime, the only option is to try applications and games developed for the 7650/3650 and see if they work. Some don't, especially the sound which causes a problem with some applications i.e. ETI Camcorder. The 6600 uses a different sound processor (or something to that effect which I read elsewhere) - that is why you can't record with sound, but can record without.

There are still a huge amount of applications and games that do work, Avia net is a good site that puts a tick next to apps that have been tested and known to work on the 6600.

Wouwz, your yahoo group isn't good: POP:Sands isn't there (Mobile Secretary was in the zip file...), Splinter Cell EO don't work and LOTR it's buggy...nothing useful for the Nokia 6600...

In the IRC I've taken this Prince Of Persia:

prince.of.persia.the.sands.of.time.v1.1.0.n6600.java.retail_ximpda.zip

but after the copyright titles the game crashes and return to the 6600 menu...even this game isn't good on the 6600??? :-?

The version you are talking about, the one tht works on teh nokia 6600:
'prince.of.persia.the.sands.of.time.v1.1.0.n6600.java.retail_ximpda.zip'
is actually the jar version for s40 devices i think. It aint the proper version for s60 devices, it doesnt hv the bosses, farah or the swinging chandelier you may hv seen in the screen shots. The actual sis version, is 204 kb. The one on offer at most sites is ~150 kb. Thts the rumour ive heard.
Any ideas anyone?

The SIS version that I have is 168Kb big. And it has Farah, the swinging chandelliers and the last boss.

Yeah, it's for the N-Gage, so as you stated on MSN, it won't be compatible. Sorry.

That's why i would not buy a 6600. Don't get me wrong it looks like a great phone, but that's it.

gophermaster

I don't have a 6600 but i like it. There's something about that grows on me, & no it's not mole or fungus. After seeing it so many times & reading about it so many times. If i c it 4 under $250.00 i would buy it.

gophermaster
12-04-2004, 07:30 AM
Well if it were that cheap then I'd buy it too.
