8310 unlocking issue

I am trying to unlock an 8310 but keep getting "code error" using the codes generated from various software I have downloaded. They all give the same codes.

I need it unlocked for O2 (cellnet) UK code 23410
IMEI: 350883103868274

I tried the 2 codes suggested by the software but it comes up "code error"

#pw+003333721165536+7#

I typed each exactly as above, neither worked, what am I doing wrong?

I have tried both with sim in and out so that's 4 attempts how many do I have left? I have removed the battery will that let me try more codes?

update: just tried the exact same thing for Orange UK and it worked, has the 23410 code for UK cellnet changed to something else for UK O2?

update: nevermind...the orange unlocked the phone and I can use it with an O2 sim, very strange

the mistake you made was using the code for the network you wanted, O2...not the network the phone was lokced to, in this case Orange

I didn't realise you unlock the phone for the network it was originally on NOT the one you want it to move to, that confused me!
