6210e problems

can anyone help i have been given a 6210e which was originally on orange, some cowboy on a market has tried to flash it to unlock it and now it will not connect to any network or stay on, the sw is 05.56, all i get with an orange sim is a little house in the top left corner of the screen then it will turn off after about 10 seconds, does it need a good flash if so what sw is needed also all i have now is an old data cable will this be any good or is a box needed thanks for any help

Use this attatchment to sort it out.

1) Connect phone to cable and comport, switch the phone on
2) Open program up
3) Press read phone info
4) Press Update faid
4a) if any locks say closed then click on clear sp locks first, then do faid
5) Disconnect cable switch phone off and on and you will have full network..
