Techie Terms for a newbie - Explain!!

I am a newbie to the site and the world of flashing and all things mobile. However I am confused by the terminology that is used in alot of postings. I'm dying to get flashing and hacking my 8210 but need to get up to speed first.

Can anyone point me to a good listing or site that explains the terminology e.g. FAID, IMEI, MBUS, FBUS, PPM, etc,etc.
