dann dieses script drueberlaufen lassen: MADos_startup.gsc
(Then run the script on top of that: MADOs_startup.gsc)
und im menu nen neuen eintrag erstellen mit der 5E0 id, die am ende des scripts angezeigt wurde
(And create in the new menu an entry with the value that is given in the end of the script)

habs zwar noch ned probiert ob des dann geht, sollte aber keine probs machen
(I haven't tested if this really works, but still it wouldn't give problems)

Edit: It works now. all i had to do is fix checksums in g3n0lite in embed.fls. thats it.

i got contact service with that flash file, fixed crc's with g3n0lite.
now it works:)
However..i've put it on a 3330

normally..u have to double flash it only once..2nd time when i upgrade usually only flash the new 3310/15 fls to 400000
wel..for mados I had to flash it to 200000 too..otherways I couldn't get in the menu..so I suppose it uses some parts from each zone.

And not everything seems to work for me..Tetris works, snake III, that i can't enter..it does nothing when I try to enter it through the menu.
Same for appz, unlocking DCT4 for example works.. stars ain't working..

Anyone experiencing this problem? or is it rather a 3330 issue?
Is there still no althernative to the dual 3310 flash to 3330 conversion,
by making some new pointers, so we get alot of free space?:)

And if you get contact services the first time you use the file just open it in g3n0lite 2, fix all checks and save it, flash it to ya phone and your laughing

I think it is better to add menu item "reboot" like "off". Because everytime I exit from mados then need to press on/off button and enter pin.

btw i notice ull need 132000 freebytes to integrate the newest modos from 09.11.03
and not every flash got it
if u dont got the spce just delete one or more languages and that will reserve u free space

I added a shortkey (* and a key you want) to boot [MADos]. atached below is the *.gsc
its just fastinvert by krisha edited by me for [MADos]
i made it so you dont have to wait untill you have entered your pincode to boot into [MADos].

here is what did I do on a clean 3310 v 5.57 :
1-reserve ppm function : 140 000 bytes
2-changing "coded by g3gg0" phrase
3-integrating the mados flash (128 kb) in 00140040 by hex workshop
4-applying the mados startup gsc
5-adding new menu with the 5e0 value I got from the last step
6-fix all checks

and I have the new menu but when I press it the phone stucks too

yeah here is order i done it in

1.opened file in genolite 2 reserved ppm
2.used embeded compile script
3.applyed shortkey_main
4.applyed fastmados
5.fixed CRC ppm/mcu
6.flashed to phone
5.do the usual (faid factory ect ect)

then when i press *5 (keypress i choose) nothing happens

also does 05e0 tables need to be patched to software as well and if so in what order?

after it inject mados code to the file the flash becomes unreadable in genolite all genolite says is cant find end of ppm cant find dumfile , also for anyone having trouble compiling stand alone version remove these lines from the compile script

Latest mados is completely working :)

To compile in embed mode you must first make a complete cvs checkout and update...

Then:
1st. Copy a CLEAN flash file to mados dir and rename it to nokia.fls
2nd. Run compile_embed.sh if you use a 8210 (snake/othelo/stars/fire are deactivated)
Run compile_crux.sh if you have a 3310/3330 (all appz are activated)
3rd. Open new file embed.fls in g3n0lite.
YOU DONT NEED TO RUN MADOS_STARTUP.GSC
4th. make a menu with the 5e0 table that cygwin created.
5th. Fix checksums and flash it to the phone. It should work
6th. Say thanks to g3gg0 and krisha :)

the keytable from 8210 is different from 3310.

the keytable is choosen by the On/Off button,
but if you use embed then you won't press this
button -> 8210 MADos think its a 3310.

if you compile for a 8210 you have to set this
in main.c manually.

you have to overwrite it so to speak.

-it doesnt react everytime when pressing a key
-much slower
-sometimes does not exit from a menu,then i must take the battery out then back and turn ON

my problem is not with the phone its with the programming enviroment after the compile script injects mados to flash then load genolite it is supose to display the address for the menu entry u need to make to activate mados but on xp all it does is finishs then AUTOMATICLY closes the screen so u cant see the offset u need to add to the menu , do u get what i am on about now

its corrected in current cvs...
reason is the mbus intialisation which resets also vibra controls...
but in the current CVS theres a bug.. when u start test->charger, wit will lock up after a few seconds..

has to do with IPC, i guess theres a bug somehwere in buffer overflow checking (...i GUESS...)
but therefore you can log some debug messages via hyperterminal
at 57600,odd,8,1,no flow control,emulation: TTY

im trying to make an embed 8210 but i dont know what i am doin rong.. here is the steps..

1-get flash of 8210 V.5.31 pack D
2-With PPMMaker delete all languages except ingles and portuguese
3-FIx all checks.. in gnolite
4-Reserv 100000 in gnolite..
5-Fix crcs ( gnolite )
6- open hexworkshop rename the text "CODEby g3gg0" to MDOS Section
7- go to 00140040 select the same size of embedflash delete
8- open embed flash select all copy and past on the 140040

the flash have the same size...

9- open gnolite run mados Startup and give me an error not sufucient space plz reserv more.. i reserv more 10000
10- aply mados startup no prob..
11- aply short key main and fast mados ok.
12- fix all chcks.. ( gnolite)

flash phone .. everithing ok.. but when i do *5 dont apear mados... any help..

or any one could send me one flash with that.

or i need another emebed flash.. im using one that was in crux post.

1ST of all, read all the thread with attention. this was already explained. but once again, here it goes. updated information...



with compile_all.sh FULLEMBED or EMBED there are some bugs, so here is what u should do:

in cygwin run compile_all.sh. u will get a small file with 110 kb. +-


Open g3n0lite with a clean flash file

create a 120000 chunk

run mados_startup.gsc

create a menu entry with the 5e0 link that previous step gave you

save the flash with a new file name

then open the flash with hex workshop

go to address 00140040 and past there the whole file embed.fls that cycwin created YOU MUST REPLACE THOSE HEX AND NOT ADD THEM!!!!! VERY IMPORTANT

in the final, the flash should keep the exact same filesize as before

save the flash.

open again in g3n0lite and fix checksums

flash it to phone. should work.

later, i may put here a link of my own used flash. if i want to... but now all i want is to sleep.

first fast mados dont work.. but is ok.. i can call it via menu like netmonitor ..
but the big problem is the keyboard.. like someone said its all mixed.. i have read that some patches were released but i dont have mados or wincvs.. :(

Hi,
i'm quite behind with all this Mados happenings.
I was very impressed with the new development of a DCT4 remote unlocking device as a 128kb flash file within a dct3 phone, but the fact it rendered the phone useless as a phone was quite dissapointing.

Now I gather from reading over these threads that it is now possible to have all the functions of a remote DCT4 calc within my 3310 and I can still have full use of it as a mobile phone. Thats really great.

I have had a little go at trying to make it work but as I have very limited knowledge of hex editing or anything like that I simply cant make it work. I have had as much success as getting the Mados menu but when it is selected, the phone simply restarts.

Please could someone explain to me how I can get this to work or post a working flashfile for a 3310?

sorry for the misunderstanding Crux, I should have known you would not have been so rude, I guess it was me who has drank too much.

I would just like to know how to put the mados DCT4 unlocker on my 3310, I have flashed the ready made one and that has been successful that I now have an extra menu "MadOs". But when I OK the menu it restarts the phone.
I would really like a little step by step of how to make this menu point to the running of the mados unlock code generator.

really sorry if i seem lazy to you guys but i really dont have much time on the computer much these days so i try and read as much as possible and try what i can but it all seems too complicated so far.

would really appreciate some help on making this work.

i grab a 8210 v 5.31 pack d dellet all langs except Pt & ing.. reserv 200000 in gnolite add mados with hexeditor run mados startup make the menu flash the phone mados is displayed but dont work very well i think is the keys.. maybe i need a special mados to 8210.. or is my phone the [MADod]30-12-2003.zip dont work with me.. the phone crash when i call mados.. could any one help or see whats rong in the flash?

Have you got Wincvs and MADos??

Update Wincvs to latest version, you will need to then change main.c to compile the 8210 MADos version,
this is the line you need to change:
unsigned char mados_phone = 0; to
unsigned char mados_phone = 1;

If you are smart (unlike me ) don’t use the flash option in [MADos] as your phone will not boot after you turn it off, but if u do just flash it again it will be all good lol

And if you get contact services the first time you use the file just open it in g3n0lite 2, fix all checks and save it, flash it to ya phone and your laughing

Keypad auto locked and unlockable to start with!!!

Did that flash option on my 3310! after wards i went to the menu called "off" and guess what - I went into it and my phone turned off. How can i flash it again if it won't stay on long enough and Knok 95 starts ignoring it or whatever?

Try resetting factory defaults when the keypad gets locked when phone is turned on!
To reflash phone use Rollis 4.78 when it asks you to turn on the phone whack in the charger and reflash should complete!

Ok, I've been trying this for the last 2 hours. I have an EMBED.fls that was made by compile_all.sh, its 100Kb in size. I have a customized flash (battery bars, fonts etc) that I'd like to integrate mados into. How do I do it, how do I replace the hex data in nokia.dls with that from embed.fls? In laimans terms please, I'd really like mados on my phone, but I must be missing something really simple

You need to create a CODE chunk using g3n0lite that is just bigger than your MADos

Then in a HEX editor eg. Hexworkshop open embed.fls and nokia.dls then find the code chunk and select the entire contents of embed.fls note how many bytes it is then select the same amount in Nokia.dls (select block command)
Paste it in then
Patch the 5eo table function with g3n0lite
use g3n0lite to patch the MADos_startup.gsc

Create the linking menu with correct 5e0 function

if u want to change the phone type, do it in main.c with changing mados_phone to 1 for 8210 or 0 for 3310

I've tried it on me 3410, the phone boots (I can hear the beep), but no display (of course)... would any of you (especially g3gg0 :) ) be kind to make a 3410 version of MADos (at least the one that is NOT embedded in the software, just the standalone version)?

I need a little help to integrate MADos to 3330 ;)

If i integrate it manual if the Mados_startup is 0x0200000+0x0290041 or
0x0290040 or 0x0000000+0x0290041 or 0x0000000+0x0290040 it isn't working :sad:

But if i write in the memmap_embed 0x0000000+0x0140040 to
0x0000000+0x0290040 and aply the mados_startup with
0x0000000+0x0290040 is boot up but it write dsp or sched done
but it hang on :sad:

put a # in every compile modes except fullembed

copy a virgin flash to mados dir. name it virgin.fls

compile it using cygwin and running ./compile_all.sh

then add a menu or use the mados_shortcut.gsc to call the mados

3330 v4.50

Done all things posted above. Tried embedem, tried using hex workshop. Tryed shortkey, tried making a menu. The result is the same. The phone either hangs and restarts, or just restarts, or just does nothing when accesing the MADos menu.

Tried with a virgin.fls, tried with my modded.fls. Is anybody here who managed to get MADos started in a 3330?

The memory offsets for the CODEby g3gg0 are diferent from the 3310 one. Embedem says:

Update WinCVS if you haven't already then edit the compile.conf run the MADos startup script make menu and...... Done

put it in the file with hex workshop (the file size is the same, i overwrote the info...) after reserving ppm chunk with g3
ran the mados startup gsc
made a menu in g3
fixed checks (last buton in g3)
should i click the other two also? (the kill buttons :))
i tried corecting the checks in ppmmanager too, but the same result, with or without this step

now after flashing, when accesing the mados menu the phone hangs and restarts...

i've read so many interesting things about dct3 phones... i wanted to do a 3330 mod, cause nobody did one before. i did some things, like rhythmic bl, fading leds, changind tones, changing menu animations to bigger ones, removing menu text, 7 bat/net bars, changing menu structure... my phone is now so nice and funny, but i want to integrate all other functions like MADos, but i can't seem to get it going... please help!

I have managed to intergrate the 3330 flash no problems using the MADos compiler (midnight commander)

If you have managed to master g3n0lite then the MADos in the 3330 should be no problem

Just try and try it is the only way to succeed

I have just seen an auction on Ebay for a code calculator modified 3310. It says it can now unlock all of these phones aswell as the typical Mados models. Where has he got this flash file from and has anyone come accross it or know what i'm on about?? :-o

Sup all. i managed to get a working mados injected 8250 flash file. Below are some steps i done . hope it helps u guys out there who are trying.

1. Compile Mados using cygwin to Fullembbed. ->FullEmbbed.fls (152kb)
2. (Use FLSEdit) Remove Extra lang packs in PPM of Original Flash to have enough space.
3. (Use G3nolite) Create/ Reserve “Code” chunk (in Nokia flash where PPM resized)of size more than that of FullEmbbed.fls.

4. (Use Embedem) Embed Fullembed.fls into Nokia flash. Save script to create menu later.
5. (Use G3nolite) Tick create 5e0 table , load script to launch mados. Run script
6. Add menu structure to call mados. Write menu structure. Fix all checks. Save flash file.

7. To call mados via shortkey. Load flash to G3nolite. Load Shortkey_main.gsc then run. Load Fastmados.gsc then run. Fix all checks n save.

Correct Faid. Test phone.


Some bugs – time reset everytime after reboot or switch off from mados.

Crux used the menu entry of Net Monitor so u must activate it via Mbus with any Nokia Tool :smile:

BEFORE you run fastmados.gsc run the shortkey_main.gsc
also you only need to patch the 5E0 functions if you are going to make the menu for it ;)

I think you must reserve more PPM space. The mados file alone has 150kb in size! :rolleyes:

After deleting unwanted languages i always reserve 200000byte in ppm space. I know it's more than what i need since i only leave one or two languages but at least i'm not faced with lack of space message :-P

2.Emebdem: open it, open mados(STANDALONE.fls(131,072kb)),embed, save file and gsc.
3.G3nolite: open, run script: shortkey_main.gsc then fastmados.gsc and embedem_make.gsc then create 5E0 functions= then the program not reply, (crash the program).

Do you know what it means STANDALONE? :-o
Iit means that is not suposed to be embeded with a flash file. Its purpose is to be flashed into the phone, loosing all the GSM capabilities, of course, but getting a MADos dedicated machine.

In order to get a working phone with MADos you must embed a EMBED or FULLEMBED file into a flash. :smile:

You have deleted the comm language

You need this for your phone to run properly as each language uses the text in that area

when you delete languages only delete the actual languages and the language IDs

eg. Export text chumk with PPM manager
load up the text file and delete all langauges except ENGL and COMM then save and in the other file PPM manager chucks out delete the language IDs except for ENGL and COMM

And i'm trying to make a game for MADos. But still not much success, as in same time i'm learning C :)

Got a little progress while avoiding quick timer in fullembed version, still it's rather random. When clock is not set, what i've done works. But when the clock is set - it's going too quick.

try replacing your key==kpd_getkey (); with key=kpd_getkey ();
and then remove the ';' at the end of "if (kub==540);"

BTW, did you sold the bug when MADos reboots after 4063 seconds? I only managed to make it reboot after 15 seconds (changed timer.c) :P
