Hi, I am new to this, I was looking around websites for places to purchase the hardware needed and I found gsm-technology.com which seems the most reliable.

I browsed through the site and I stumbled across the following Dejan gear:

* Nokia Flasher Deluxe v1.00
* Converter FBUS/MBUS

Is this the hardware required to unlock, repair and upgrade the software of nokia phones. What other hardware would people recommend. Looking forward in receiving your input.

Sounds like a good set to start with for unlocking/upgrading Nokia.

maybe you could send them a mail to hear if ther f/mbus adapter works with B-phreaks eepromtools. As many autoswitching cables don't work with it. Els you might also want to look out for an m-bus cable.

Thanks for your input :p it's a little confusing as there are so many cables for me to familiarize myself with. I find this place quite friendly and flame-free as I'm into overclocking and computer hardware and the people there are less forgiving with newbies.

Anyway, what exactly does the mbus cable do and with the fbus/mbus converter does that make use of the leads which comes with the nokia flasher deluxe. Is there any other website which has more detailed descriptions about each product as they're still all quite a blur to me.

I was browsing around and I found Nokia Dejan Box + Nokia 8310 cable which can repair, full flash, unlock and change versions and it comes with all cables for nokia phones, cd with software and documentation.

All for only $80USD + $10USD shipping to Australia. This sounds more of a reasonable offer than what I originally intended in purchasing. Please give feedback, looking @ purchasing this tomorrow.
