Unlocking 6600

I need some help. I am an italian guy who lives and works in the netherlands. I recently bought with a 1 yr contract with VODAFONE NL a Nokia 6600, but obviously it is sim locked. Does anybody knows how to unblock it so that I can use it when I go to Italy for my Xmas Holidays?

Hi ,
it's so nice from you to help me. I tried the code the way you gave it to me and it is not working. I have a CODE ERROR message. I double checked if the IMEI I gave you was correct and it is. What could the problem me? Can we try another code or it could harm the function of the phone?
