Hello, I have a yellow Alcatel HE1 v300 'KPN Pocketline Gripz' and I succeeded to unlock it.
This is how to do it:
Make (or buy) a datacable: How to do that you can find on the internet.
Get Retrofit V42.3 from www.jstic.com/Newsgroup/Alcatel/ftp423.zip and unzip it in the root of drive C.
Get Retrofit V6 (www.jstic.com/Newsgroup/Alcatel/Retrofitv6.zip) and install it via the install procedure. Don't use the exe's made by the installer program, they are made for other phone types. I only installed Retrovfit V6 because it provides some software retrofit42.3 misses.
create the directory(s) C:\resu\he1r2
Connect phone which must be switched off. Use a full accu.
Start c:\ftpv423\exe\ftpact4.exe by doubleclicking the file.
Opt->Language->English
General->Switch on (Phone comes up)
General->Connection (Phone goes down again)
Flash/Eeprom->ETSI_SIM_MELock->reading
password 0000000 <CTRL ENTER>
Click OK an then <CTRL ENTER>
your phone's IMEI apears; You see the program path C:\resu\ and then the name simlock.dat Leave it that way although the phrase 'he1r2\' misses. Do <ESC>
make sure c:\resu\he1r2\simlock.dat was created. It contains " \N_20408 " with my phone. If you don't see the file please don't continue but see if you did something wrong in the previous steps.
Flash/Eeprom->ETSI_SIM_MELock->writing
password still 0000000 <CTRL ENTER>
Put 'Encoding' to OFF. (bottom of the screen)
Do OK and <CTRL ENTER>; Wait a while; do <esc> when finished writing.
Flash/Eeprom->Eeprom Acces->Writing by Keyboard Input.
Select Adress Range DC-E6.
Fill with eleven zero's.
Do <CTRL ENTER> and <esc>
Flash/Eeprom->ETSI_SIM_MELock->writing
Guess the password <CTRL ENTER>
Put Encoding back to ON.
Do OK and <CTRL ENTER>; Wait a while; hit <esc> when finished writing.
General->Disconnection
General->Exit
Disconnect data cable from your phone.
That's it. Your HE1 accepts every low-band SIM now!
Have a nice day.
