I rang Virgin Help Line 2day as someone told me they help and give u a restriction code to unlock your phone, and they took my details and emailing them to me in the next few days.. so ill post what they sent to you can check.

I checked product code and your phone should not be locked.

It's a UK retail phone: CPHS UK (cphs) Latin, Light blue

Did you try a simcard e.g. from orange?
