cant get t100 in to test mode

hi guys,trying to get t100 in the test mode so i can repair imei but not getting any joy,have read posts but still not working,have plugged the cable in when phone is off, cover closed,progg runs, ram downloads but phone is not in test mode.plug cable in open phone(white screen) run progg ram downloads but still not in test mode,have tried it also when phone starts up before it says insert sim card but still no joy
does any body have any more ideas??
