weird problem with new startup tone

the 3210 startup tone is also the tone for the games, so if you pick a long tone for startup you get it playing when you match a pair or eat something in snake, I noticed this when my wife was playing pairs and it kept sounding the startup tone

I don't get the whole startuptone played in my 8210... just a low beeb when the snake eats a dot and no tone when he dies.

yeah I noticed that as well perhaps the tone is shorter than we first thought, as the whole tone might contain the death noise for snake/winning score for rotation
