VB help needed

I have Visualbasic 6 and couple things needs to done.

Now it works but they are very slow.

How to load fls file to integer? It takes 5-20 seconds.

How to seek beginning to ppm on full fls? Ppm file is easy but full fls takes time.

Samples.

And if someone could send sample of how to calc ppm chksum that could also help.

i use c++ for windows. it also takes times to load a full flash on a char *buffer;

if ever i find a solution on the net... surely i will remember to email u or post it here.. pls. do the same... /n/images/smiles/icon_cool.gif

Hi, Mr. Nokiaguru,

(AdrX is short name address inside Flashfile)

1. Find address of string 'VNEXT', call this location AdrA.(0008.E484)

2. At (AdrA - 4) is 4 bytes like 002A.AA00., Call this AdrB.
Decrease this AdrB Value now with $20.0000 (000A.AA00)

2. At AdrB is 4 bytes like 002B.0000., Call this the PPM Start address.
Decrease this PPM Start address Value now with $20.0000 (000B.0000)

3. At (AdrB + 4) is 4 bytes like 002F.FFFF., Call this the PPM End address.
Go do this minus $20.0000 again and voila. (000F.FFFF)

Who knows how to create function PlayBeep(freqiency,duration) in Visual Basic.

I only know Beep()

A proggie on Mehdi's *Re files would be nice though?
