GSM 900/1800/1900
if so your fone will work in THE USA
if not it will not work

it doesnt say any thing it just turns on and thats it it wont do any thing none of the buttons work etc.

your fone is unlocked
just try an other sim card
can be that you sim is not compatable with the fone
so try other sim card to check post

ive tried it with other sim cards it only works with the nl sim card not american sim cards. its from t-mobile in nl and everyone ive talked to at nokia and t-mobile have told me that i need the unlock code!

please post product code - it's the number beginning with 05 or 06 from label under battery

it sonds to me that you have a non compatable sim card And it wont work on your fone
post what the fone says when you put in the USA sim card

it doesnt say anything it just doesnt work! it boots up as norml than comes up to the main screen. it shows the clovk and how much batery but thats it! it wont do anithing from here but turn off! I have the sim card that works in it and it has the same contact points as mine. ive tried other sims too! Can i change my sim over tothe one that works! how do i get this thing to work? help!!!!

there was a problem with some simcards e.g. t-mobile usa eons and this firmware 2.50

please go to an authorized nokia service center and let make an update to version 4.13

please save your data before, as the user area will be formatted during update.

after that, there should be no problem with other simcards.

if you would like to know about the lock conter, buy a serial datacable (no usb) e.g. here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3368852987&category=42407 and read out your configuration key and wrong tries counter with bwinlock
