Hmm...

Check my above link...
Instead of download v5.30 try v5.27 for DSP-3, I think this is how I rectified my problem with Firmware Mismatch.

Cheers,
-Dave

There doesn't excist full flashes for Nokia 5110... Since the EEPROM must be flashed seperatly.

You only can find MCU+PPM.

yes, there are no full flashes for nokia 5110.
but i was wondering how can i download or upload the eeprom of 5110?
what software should i use?
because i tried to use nokia tools by rolis and it doesnt work since rolis doesn't support 5110, 6110, 6210, etc (i tried them all)
or is my software corrupted?
or is there any specific cable to use to do this?
i'm using an automatic f/m bus cable, does this have anything to do with it?

regards to you all
i've been out too long that i see so many new faces here...phew....

You must write the EEPROM with an EEPROM programmer to these phones...

You'll need an EEPROM programmer and PonyProg. It's the only way...

But tell, why should you upload new EEPROM to your phone??

Hello there :)

@shin:
A little reading of older threads could help you out :) Most likely your flash files work fine.... but you CAN NOT FLASH WITH A DATA CABLE.
I quote you here:
"... or is there any specific cable to use to do this?

Yes, there is a specific cable, and that is called a "Flasher". Your cable is a data cable, with which you can unlock and put logos on that phone.... but not flash. You need a DCT-3 flasher, which can be either bought or home made (i made one, it is not too difficult provided you get the parts, which for me was quite a task) and use it to update the software in your phone. Have a look in the "old forum" sections, there are many posts which include schematics for such flasher.
Hint: A Flasher is always connected to the LPT (Printer) port of your computer!
Rolis supports the 5110 as well, and so does Knok95 which i used to flash. Just have the appropriate flash file (DSP-3 or DSP-4) and it should work without eeprom-fiddling. Should you get "Contact service" (happened to me) open the flashfile with PPMedit and fix it's checksums before flashing.
Why don't you just grab BOEBOE's modded flash file "ProjecT 1.60" for 5110? I have seen (actually sort of beta tested) this flash, and i can tell you it ROCKS.

Good luck :)

Kind regards...
Thanh

Thank you Boe boe.
the reason i need to upload new eeprom to my phone because i have several dead 5110 which i can flash but didn't come back to life. and a friend of mine told me to replace the eeprom.
one of them came back to life. so i figured instead of replacing the eeprom physically, why not re write the eeprom data.
could u be more specific about the method or where i can download those tools or tutorials?
thanks in advance.

@Thanh :
i know that already thanh, thank you.
i've had the flash cables like forever. and i've been modifying my 5110 until i felt that i'm stuck and i dont know what else to modify in my own 5110.

Any suggestions anyone?
too bad i can't upload my flash file, i don't know how or where to upload it. i wanted to share it though. can anyone help me?

U will have to buy/make an EEPROM programmer and connect it to our phone's EEPROM, and then write a virgin EEPROM to it.
