View Full Version : Is anyone here an accomplished 'BlueJacker'?

I'm keen to buy a 6230 as soon as it's released, early in the new year (hopefully!), and I am intrigued by reports of so-called 'bluejacking'. I'm not looking to cause any malice - it just looks like a good way to have a little fun with friends when out pubbing etc.

Can anyone here conclusively state how to do this - the few posts that I've so far seen on the forum are somewhat difficult to glean a conclusive picture from.

Can anyone clear the mist, please?

It's easy.

what you do is create a new telephone contact. For their first name, enter a short message (such as "hi! you've been bluejacked".)

Now send this contact via bluetooth. Select a phone that is near to you(and has bluetooth turned on) and send it to them. They will get a message saying "hi! You've been bluejacked has been recieved".

It gets phone when you personalise your messages, for example (I like your shoes). When the person gets it, they won't have a clue who sent it.

Thanks lads, that's what I was after! I'll look forward to this. It's just a pity the other person needs to have bluetooth specifically switched on. It looks like the only people on the train likely to have that on is businessmen with their laptops, and that ain't my idea of flirting! :-o

Also great fun with bluetooth in traffic!

Just send something like: are you going to move soon? asshole! and say that you are in the car next to you.

And just sitt back and enjoy the fun!

lol..some great ideas... although i have my own story... sittin in my spanish class being bored...and i decide to try to bluejack by friend who has a T610...blue tooth switch off... i ask to play on golf and switch it on...send him a message sayin 'uve been bluejacked' he then gets freaked out and notices the Bluetooth B in the corner and goes mad he thinks its a virus!..im just in hysterics..
