Missing menu items in myX-5

Hello all..

I just bought a X-5, but i cant found some menu items: in the manual says that there's a menu to change the format of sms messages, but i it's not present in my phone. The same happens with message acknowledgement and others.

Maybe the provider disabled these menues ? or i need to change something in the phone ? If the provider disabled these, can i reenable the missing items ? i've always used the acknowledgements and i'm really missing this option.
