I have recently tried to upgrade the flash on my 6210 to 5.56 however i experiance a problem with the flash files i got from nokia/sno i was getting bad size errors. due to this i recieved the 'contact service' message. i decided to re-flash with 5.01 this has repaired the phone, but i am now left with the same problem i started with. when i insert a sim i get no signal, i get a strange symbol in the top right hand corner of the display (looks like a house symbol) and the power to the phone keeps recycling.

can some body tell me if this problem is recoverable. or do i have a bad phone

thanks in advance

Huw :)

Have you updated FAID?

Hmm...

Try a flash from somewhere else maybe. (Personally I've never had flash problems from nokia.sno.at) try: http://flashes.ptisp.org/main2.htm

Try a full backup flash, EEPROM, MCU and PPM, calculate FAID after the flash.

Unlock the phone, etc, try a different SIM to the one that you are trying now, see if that works.
