Problems with EEPROM TOOL 3.1

Hi....

I have bought a new Laptop without COM1 Port. It`s having only USB Ports so I have bought me the USB SERIAL ADAPTER. Now i have a COM PORT but the problem is that the EEPROM TOOLS 3.1 can`t read the phone.It`s having an error "PHONE NOT CONNECTED". But if you try it with LOGOMANAGER it works with FBUS and MBUS. ~~~~~COULD SOMEBODY HELP ME PLEASE~~~~:confused:

same old problem you are running windows XP and eeproms does not like windows xp, any other operating system win 98, win millenium win 2000 should all work ok but just not XP.

i have got windows xp and windows 98. do you think the poblem is from windows xp???

now i have only windows 98 but the problem is the same. I don`t have a serial port. Only LPT and USB. And i have got the USB SERIAL PORT ADAPTER but the fucked M2BUS or MBUS doesn`t work NOKOTO or EEPROM TOOLS. With LOGOMANAGER is FBUS and MBUS OK. I think it doesn`t work because the laptop hasn`t orginal SERIAL PORT.

Logomanager, uses only fbus so it maybe that the mbus part of the cable (ifs its switchable) may be the problem there is a piece of software 'linktest' which you can use to test the fbus and/or mbus connection to your computer, if you want it leave your email addy and i will mail it to you for you to test the cable.

I have excactly the same problem! My cable must be auto switch! Maybe it's fbus! Anyone know how to make my cable manual switch or how to make the cable from fbus to mbus!? Please help me!!!!

I have just up loaded xp to my pc..found out that eepromtools not working as well..previously worked in 98,,,any comment??:)
