Can anyone give me some info on nokia 3330 v4.50
I need to unlock the SP lock but my dejan flasher lead wont do it
Do i need a data lead as well?
I only have a dejan flash kit but can get any data lead from a local shop.

You could unlock it by flashing a 3330 v4.16 mcu+ ppm flash file to it, but you wouldnt be able to update FAID resulting in no signal, as you need a mbus/fbus cable to do this. Which ever way you choose to unlock it you will need you will need a new cable; whether you choose to unlock by mbus or not! your best bet is to get that cable m8!:)

I'll get a data cable tomorrow and try it, can i unlock it with data cable only using rolis? or do i have to flash it as well?

If you get an MBUS cable for your phone, you can unlock it easily using eeprom tools 3.1 which can be downloaded from this site, simplt click on 'reset sp locks, once connected and it will do the rest! It can also update the FAID (flash authority ID) if you plan updating the firmware version of your phone. Hope this helps you.

You can unlock it with rolis, has to be nokia tool 1.8 by rolis; see downloads. To unlock with nokia tool by rolis, click on the button marked clear SP locks. Remember when you unlock by mbus, which is easier, you loose you grahpics and ringtones (non factory settings), just in case you didn't know; but u can put them back on with your cable using logo manager or similar.

The other method you could use is flash a partial flash file to your phone using rolis flasher 478b and then calculate the FAID using your new cable and nokia tool 1.8. Its your choice, but beware that if you choose to partial flash the phone that 3330 v4.30 and v4.50 no not calculate FAID very well, and you could be left with no singnal. Downgrade to v4.16 it works with most software nicely, and will save you futher hassle in the future:D
