Changing Nokia 6120 Software to new version

Hi, everybody, i`d like to know if there`s a way for upgrading or changin the Software version of my cellphone.

My phone is:

Nokia 6120
NSC-3
SW 1.12
11-08-1998

This phone can`t send text messages, i tried to activate Text transmition with Wintesla 6.03, but it didn`t, so i was thinking in upgrade the software version to any other that send text (3.xx and up version), so if anybody can help, please, tell me .

Hi, there´s a way you can upgrade your 6120, i do also have one and i want to do the same. You can upgrade the hardware of the 6120 to a 6120i.
There´s a software TR1 4084 Nokia upagrade. i don´t know where you live but you can buy it at 79 u$sand if you already have the soc2 you can buy it cheaper. The link is www.ositech.com/News/1999/nokia.html. If you don´t buy, unless look for it , i am in Uruguay where those thing are very difficult to find. Good luck, and if you find it (the software), please let me know, cuase i want to upgrade my 6120, too.Thanks.
