I know the memory map for the flash files, for example 7110 => MCU 00200000-00510000 PPM 00510000-00590000 EEPROM+PMM 00590000-00600000.

BUT

The phone has a 16Mb memory so what is this used for?
What and where is written and what shouldn't be erased???

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

16Mb = 16 Mbit

16Mbit = 2 MB, 2 MByte

No other data..

Ps, I think a 7110 has 4MB.

The 7110 has two 16 Mb flash chips so it shows up as 16 even though there is 32!

Thank you for your reply!

I made a mistake, so it has a 16MByte chip shown when flashing, and only address 0x200000 to 0x600000 is written with flash.

0x000000 to 0x200000 is for what? = 2MBytes
0x600000 to 0xFFFFFF is for what? = 10MBytes

Nobody knows anything about these regions?

Past 0x600000 is nothing as there is no memory past that!
If you write there it will write at 0x200000!

Up to 0x200000 I have no idea try reading off there and compare the code you get with the flash file on there!

Hi,

20.0000 upto 60.0000 = 4MByte, = 32 Mbit.

U only have 4 MB, there is NO more...
