I notice that there are three codes for T-Mobile in the UK (23430/23431/23432). How can I tell which one is relevant to my phone when trying to unlock it? Also, is there a way to see if my phone has been supplied unlocked (it's an upgrade) as I popped my company Orange SIM in and it worked fine so I'm a bit confused.

Thanks

See if you can check it with Vodaphone or O2 SIM. It sounds like it has never been locked :D

Thanks Bobski. Is there an actual code that can be entered to confirm whether the phone is locked or not?

Thanks Bobski. Is there an actual code that can be entered to confirm whether the phone is locked or not?

phones that come unlocked out of factory have 00101 as configuration key

if phone is locked from t-mobile uk, config key is always 23430

No problem. I don't think you need to mess about with it mate. It will only end in tears :-o

Thanks guys! I promise not to fiddle anymore...my brother has a Vodafone and O2 so I'll try the acid test and see if his sims work in my phone.

Thanks for all the help :)
