Would you be interested in a flash modding contest??

Me and BOEBOE have been talking about starting up another flash modding competition this year,
we need to know if there is adequite support for this!

We are also looking for sponsers for prizes etc. ;)

We haven't finalized the rules yet this is just us wondering weather you are interested??
This contest will be a bit different from the last as we are allowing the use of flashes other than just the 3315 but we haven't made a final list

Please don't reply to this thread if you want to enter as we are not taking applications yet

Yes, that'll be the idea,

not like last year, only for 33xx...

All DCT3 phones flashes will be allowed...

We will create a new "Flash contest" section in the DCT3 forum and in that "Flash contest" section there will be seperate threads (33xx, 32xx, 51xx)
You'll have two weeks the time to post your mods in the right threads, after those two weeks the voting will begin (1 week) and then the winnars of those sections will be voted again to finally 1 winnar...

Hmmm i think the 3310/15 model will be the best mode coz it has the MADos system wherein the best Apz (Unlocker on selected phone model) new games (Tetris, Hangman, Tictack toe, SnakeIII, Othello) Clock Screen Saver, Rhythmic, Fading lights etc. But the problem is its not yet perfect, coz the phone hung-up, and it is power hunger.. it drains lot of power. They say t DCT-3 are the best specialy the 3310/15 model. I expect for the poly in 3310/15 models if you have played the Tetris in MADos the sounds plays like poly, it use the earpiece for the sound not the buzzer.

make 2 or more entry levels. (masters category and noobz category)

We will need to start making some rules!

Rough Outline for Modz:

They can contain anything except MADos as this is restricted to the 3310 and so will not really count!
So you may aswell use the space in the flash for something else anyway

Graphics are great technical Modz are excellent, menus, etc.
You name the Mod you can put it in
They can be made for any dct3 phone,
Any software version also

Everyone on the forum will be able to vote for which flash is the best so it will be a fair competition

We have also started gathering sponsership and prizes. ;)

Lets just hope we get more than 15 entries!!
Everyone vote if you view this page as we don't really have much interest so far, even though me and BOEBOE are pretty excited about it you should be also!!

I think that competitors must be allowed to add madOS, but this could not be + or - to win the competition!

You could put MADos in if you want but you are reducing the amount of space that you have to add important things like graphix, ringtones, menu's etc.

Your choice but it doesn't count in the end!

It's upto the people who wins the comp and if MADos sways someones vote then maybee g3ggo and krisha should get the prize after all they and others wrote MADos didn't they??

I don't think it should be allowed due to reasons stated already!

yes, nice idea to have flash contest, but I think the primary contestants should be the newbies...experts from this forum should gove way to the newbies.

It is open to all nokiafree users and its free to enter so we can't really descriminate between newbies and not

We may have a seperate section for newbies but I don't see how we will judge weather they are a newbie or not as they may be an expert on flash modification but new to the forum

Just getting working on your flash as its open to all dct3 phones

any thoughts on this BOEBOE?

Update:

The Flash modification contest is now going ahead
It has now been given a name:

NokiaFree Bi-Annual Flash Modding Contest

As the name suggests it will occur twice a year,

The first one of these new contests will be held in a month or two but nothing is yet confirmed

The proposed prize for the first contest is 300 euro voucher to spend at U-Cables, although this is not yet final.

To win the prize you will first need to beat all contenders in your catagory the different sections are as follows:

1) 2100

2) 3110, 3210, 3310, 3330, 3350

3) 5110, 5130, 5146, 5190, 5210, 5510,

4) 6110, 6150, 6210, 6250

5) 8210, 8250, 8290, 8850, 8890

If I have forgotten any dct3 types please PM me the info

When the contest is open then there will be a new section in the forum for the contest (thanks to mr. man0n and Alinus)

Don't send or attach any flash files yet just wait till we finalize dates etc.

this contest m,ust include also NOKIA 3410 because some people from ROMANIA has done a good modz for this phone i think is the only one it is called 3440
sow 3410 will be included

If you read the rules then you you would know that all dct3 handsets are included in the contest ;)

So the 3410 is aswell!!

but if i read the rules i find one that can't be pass for 3410
(2 slideshows) this is imposible becase g3n0lite doesn't have support for 3410
can u remove this rule?
