I fucked up my mmc! Please help me!

Yesterday I've formatted my mmc using windows formatter, and now it isn't recognized anymore by my sys when I plug in the usb cable of my N-Gage! I can r/w data only with my usb reader, but it's crap! I tried to reformat it from phone, but no results!
I think that is because win formats it as an HDD with heads, cylinders, and sector, changing something in the filesystem... My father fucked up an usb pen drive the same way! Any prog that formats it correctly? I found a doc on the web explaining something, but I can't find the prog described there! I attach that doc here!

can ur ngage still recognise the mmc? try formatting again wif ngage?

i formatted it 3 times with n-gage, it recognized it! but pc don't see it via usb.... i read that I have to reformat in fat16, but I can't find a prog to do this! i tried also to play around with bootsector, but no way... :sad: :sad: :sad:

I also used my win format to format my mmc I used fat instead of fat 32 and its working ok.. maybe u can try it too?

i used my dads palm to format it it was the only thing to work for me i also tried card reader an Gage itself but no go via USB so Yeah Find someone with a Palm and use it.

mickey: I think that it can work... but I have winXP! now looking for someone that has 98... that's why i asked for a prog that can format in fat16! :-)

here in italy Palms are not so famous... I hope I will find someone! or i will go to an electronic shop where my friend works and ask him if I can use one for a while!

To Tzeon: I got both now :D
and about the mmc I hv Xp too.. u can format it the same way there's an option when formating it askes if u want to format on fat or fat32.. just choose fat ;)

On mine there is ONLY the "FAT" option... this is how i fucked up the mmc! :-?

yeah, i have a 3650. i always format my mmc card with my card reader in xp. when your formatting it, just choose to format it as FAT and not FAT32

uh... that damn windows formatter recognizes it as a 4GB... and it can oly format to fat32... now i try to do modify the bootsector to make the memory smaller, format it an then turn it back big!

You could try a P2P program like kazaa lite k++, emule and others. There's a version there which is less than 20mb.

found partition magic 7 from a friend, but it doesn't see usb disks.... I keep searching.
