i am using wintesla_6.03 from this site with the cracks, but
it seems the later phone dll files dont let this version work.
as far as i am aware this is the only program that allows the phone to be tuned (RX & TX)... is this correct

Hmm...
What do you mean by RX & TX?

RX -- reception levels, used to unable phone PLLs and Auto gain
control to adjust, so phone transmits correctly on whatever
channel is used. helps eliminate drift/noise etc.
TX -- Transmission levels. the output power of the power amp for
each level, 5 - 15 has to be correct or cell site will drop call.

here it is solution...1st thing u should install software support like NHM5 or NPE6..this software not crack...so if u run your wintesla the msg illegal operation will appear or can't find deskkey drive or something like that.
2nd try find cracked dll like nsek13. if u found that cracked dll please copy that file to win/sys
3rd. in dir. wintesla try looking for tesla.ini...after u found it..go to [NHM5] or [NPE6] . look at UserInterface=NHM5
Functionality=NHM5. so u have chage this to NSKE13(cracked dll) or other cracked dll.
i think this solution could be success...try it....tg
