What can I do to repair "CONTACT SERVICE" problem in nokia 5110

if it is software contact service u can try fullflash and then repair imei and faid using EepromTools by B-phreak
but make sure what rom ur phone is

something went wrong with the flashing process...

Download a virgin eeprom for the phone here:

Load the flash into rolis 479 (from http://blight.dk) and MAKE SURE YOU SELECT 5110 as the model. flash the phone. write the virgin eeprom to the phone also. (click menu option write, choose virgin eeprom file, in next screen where it says enter address, click 5110 button)

Load up NokTool (also blight.dk), choose phone model from dropdown box. press the ladybug icon next to phone-model dropdown box. read phone info. copy the original IMEI from the IMEI(org) into the box above (put the last digit from the original in the box after the - dash symbol). click [change] to change the IMEI. Click SFR button. click FAID button..

one "brand new" phone!

also, i think the 5130 model is same as 5110, i dunno but you can try flashing 5130 to it, though i dont think it offered many advantages..

5110 has an external eeprom so no need to flash that!

Just read the flash off the phone fix the checksums and flash it back the phone should then work if not then it is probably a hardware fault
