eXpand Ur 3310 from 7 to 16 OTA tones now!

Hi,

MultiToneZ

We found a way to expand the normal 7 ota ringtones U have in a 3310 to eg 16.

Maybe other values are possible, but we still need to figure out some things concerning the tone id's etc.

We also still have that nasty max 71 tones limit, therefore only tests upto some 51 ppm tones did work as we expected.

But we could not longer hide it for U guys, so here's already some test file.

We hope U like it?

@all u can upload tones into these extra spaces using logo manager, just change "Location 7" to the area u want it such as "Location 14" and upload your tone. It works perfect!!

Hi! i've tried the previous versions of mados on my 5510 and the arrow keys were unable to scroll the menus... this new version can be compatible with it ?

Well, actually, it was me who made it crash.

But Mr. G3 in person taught me the very elementary basics now.

Anda, the factory reset is a bit advice for after useage.

Since Ur eeprom will have these additional tones now.

1. cant assign tone
2. after i compose till 8th ringtone... some of my pic msg were missing
3. and if i compose all 16 ringtones... cant enter pic msg menu... phone hangs and reset automatically

i used 3310 v6.07 type H.

actually i'm new to this... but got something to ask (ignore this if it's a silly question/suggestion)... cant we use PPM space to put these 9 OTA instead using EEPROM? If Not, is there a safe way to free up more spaces in EEPROM so that this script'll work successfully... coz it seems things like TEMPLATES normally were not used... mayb some of us do.

1. unzip the file
2. get rolis flasher sw and a flasher cable
3. noktools and mbus cable for faid update
4. u can use logomanager to put more recv tone... via mbus/fbus cable

that's all that is needed... and do read forum and search buttons.. u could get all the answer u will need there..

anyone know why when i patch flash with this script i get a pjone that wont play and tone or vibrate when it rings, it is set up correctly (profiles) and i can listen to them volume is up and vibrate works and is on but it dont make a sound when someone rings me

this is a great patch and many thx for this relase but i have some question beacuse i think i fiound a bug but i'm not sure
after i patch my menu v6.07 with u're patch or the other patch my phone is hanging up in random mode but not any time(ex. let say now then after 7 hours and ...) this is happening when at the profile is selected a tone from 8 - 16.

then open your 3310 flash.

click "load script" and select mToneZ16_3310.gsc

then click "run script"

fix checksums

flash it to the phone

I noticed that saving on the additional spaces corrupts Picture messages... i think added tones are written in same region as the pic messages... :-?

Mine to have problem. When I used the tone above 7, my profile name change to Square character. And the tone seems to disappear by themselves. More work have to be done on this but It is a verry good work from our genius friend out there. Do keep up the good work.

me too... assigning tone work ok & after compose the 8th ringtone, pic msg still work fine. But after the 9th... the 1st pic msg become funny chacracter + boxes. Then after compose the 10th ringtone, the 8th ringtone become empty and 2nd pic msg also become blank pic. Got any idea?

In eeprom U can search for 024A3A.

The byte just before indicates the effective length.

But we not work there, in ram is a total list compiled eg to make U a visible menu for selecting tones.

In this list is ppm and eeprom tones mixed together and unique reindexed.

(01) 001075F4: 003610E5.00000000.00000000.00000023.017901C2.00000042.12010C00. ==> 'Low'
...
...
(23) 001079AC: 001169D4.00000000.00000000.00000012.017901C2.00000042.12012E00. ==> 'FunkyTown'
(24) 001079C8: 00116A04.00000000.00000000.00000013.017901C2.00000042.12012F00. ==> 'PopCorn'

The different functions use this ota information from ram, not from eeprom directly.
