Try to reflash the 8310 to see if realy is software problem! "make full backup before"

If same problem again, could be Phone problem!

Hmm...

I've had the same problem with a Sony Z5, it had a card in it and it would say 'Insert SIM Card', then I would remove it and put in another one and it would work fine. I flashed the phone, upgraded firmware, cleaned contacts, tried SIM in other phones (all worked fine) but THAT phone would not accept THAT SIM :(

Never resolved this problem myself...
