Remote Unlocking FAQ

This is a guide on how to unlock your Nokia handset, it should be read before you start

» What is remote unlocking?

Your mobile phone can be locked to a network, this is where you may only use a SIM card from this company.Remote unlocking is the quick and easy way to unlock your phone to enable the use of other SIM cards with your mobile/cell phone.Unlock codes are generated by remote unlocking software and are created by your handsets IMEI number and the network the handset is locked to. These two factors are the 'main' areas in which successful unlock codes are generated.

» How much does it cost?

Free

» Where can it be done?

It can be done online at:
* http://nokiafree.org/free-nokia-unlock-codes <- English
* http://www.unlock.no <- Norweign
(Know more? Please PM me and I will add them)
You can do it offline using software at www.uniquesw.com/dl?9

» What you need

You need to have with you
* IMEI number
(Enter *#06# on your phone's key pad and the 15 digit number will be displayed on the screen or you will find it on a label on the back of your phone, underneath the battery.)
* Your current network and country
* The model of you phone

» How to use:

Remove SIM Card and turn phone on.
Enter codes in to main screen.
You should always try code 7 and 1 first.
To get the 'p' push your '*' key 3 times, the 'w' is the '*' pushed 4 times.

Don't forget to remove SIM-card, when entering codes!
After entering unlock code phone will display:
"SIM restriction off" - when lock has been successfully removed;
"Code error" - when entered unlock code is wrong;
"Can't undo restriction" - when you've tried to enter wrong codes too many times;

You have only 5 tries to enter proper unlock codes!
After that your phone can be unlocked only via cable, unlock codes won't work anymore!

Read all that information carefully... Good Luck!

WARNING! Nokia DCT-4 Codes: Try only 1 code, you only have 5 tries. If code error appears check configuration key with datacable (no usb) and bwinlock from www.b-phreaks.co.uk ! This site is down, I will attach it!

PLEASE VERIFY TWICE, THAT YOU USE RIGHT IMEI!!!

UNLOCK CODES ARE UNIQUE!!! DON'T take a code from another phone with different IMEI, it will NOT WORK!!!

Don't know how to enter code? Remove SIM Card! Type #, then *-key 3 times (you get p), then *-key 4 times (you get w), then *-key 2 times (you get +), then the 15 digits, then *-key 2 times (you get +), then lock digit, #

Symbian phones (3650/6600/7650/N-GAGE) with network lock closed only: Use always code 1, for Orange UK use code 2 and 1, Vodafone Sweden (24008 ) Code 4 and 1.

Normal phones (Type 2): Code 7 should always do the job!

BUT in most countries code 1 is sufficient. Exceptions so far: Vodafone UK, Orange UK, Virgin UK, T-Mobile DE, Vodafone DE, O2 Germany, TDC Denmark, Debitel Denmark, Orange The Netherlands, Vodafone Sweden, Rogers ATT Canada, FIDO Canada, SIMPRO Canada, Cityfone Canada

Configuration key (network code) for calculation is: usually 23400001 for Virgin 3510i (IMEI 3515../3514../3513..) and N-GAGE. 23800001 for Debitel Denmark 3510i USE DCT4NCK.EXE FOR CONFIG KEY WITH 8 DIGITS (IN DOS-BOX)
e.g. DCT4NCK.EXE 2 351234001234560 23800001 33820

SPAIN

Movistar usually 21407 BUT some phones (6100) 21402

CANADA

ALL FIDO CANADA PHONES 30200001

T-Mobile

ALL phones 31020

COLUMBIA

Comcel 732101 (6 digits!!!)

Anyone who have SIMPRO 8390 or CITYFONE 8390/6310i and serial datacable (no usb) please use bwinlock and read out configuration key and send me a private message. Thanks!!!

How do I do it? Any help will be appreciated.

if for any reason you can't use the online codes calculator, you can use this program to unlock offline.

usage:
open a dos box.
drag the file dct4nck.exe to the dos window. it's name will appear.
type:
<space> phone type (2 or 5)
<space> imei number
<space> network code (without seperators. ex: 12345)
<space> 33820 (box serial to generate v2 codes).

ex: calculating an unlock code for an orange uk 8310 with imei number 123456789012345 will look like this:
C:\>dct4nck 2 123456789012345 23433 33820

For some newer phones like 1100 / 3200 / 6220 you might have to use 33552 as box serial because Nokia blacklisted the 33820 box serial in firmware.

For ASIC 7 phones (only 6650 / 7600 UMTS / WCDMA) use this calc http://uniquesw.com/dl?9 from UniqueSW

Newest Version 2.31 is attached.

bwinlock doesn't unlock without dongle, which isn't sold anymore

you will need griffin, prodigy or twister box

it's a type 2 phone so just put in any type of phone like hat...a 8310 or 7210 will do, it's the imei network and country that are important

Hi,

I entered in then unlock code for my 3595, and it said "restriction off". But then i put in my sim card and when it starts up it says "Phone Restricted", then there's an "undo" option on the bottom left corner that let's me enter in another Restriction Code. What should I do?? Enter the code again with my sim card inserted. I only get the Phone Restricted msg when i have my sim card in.

Thanks!
