mp3 to amr..help!!

Does anyone knows how i can turn my mp3 into midi or amr so that i can use them as ringtones for my nokia 6600?! help!! :-?

You can use a program called acoustica mp3 to wav converter and then transfer the files to your phone via bt or ir.you should be able to get the prog of kazza :-P

Don't you know how large WAV files are????
I converted an mp3 into wav , it became 30MB!!!

What this poor fella means is that he wants .AMR files that are tiny

Look for a program called "MIKSOFT mobile AMR converter"

That's a WAV to AMR converter and vice versa.
I havent seen any mp3 to amr converter..
So you have to convert them to wav first....

send the mp3 to ur fone via the pc suite's file transfer, put it in the sounds/digital folder, pc suite will transfer the file and convert to wav for u. its quite small, ard 1+ mb. den go profiles to set the ringtone.

u could also use Nokia Multimedia Converter 2.0. this is a must have since it can not only convert mp3 to amr or wav to amr, it can also convert vcd to a format that ur 6600 can read!! u can download it at nokia's site. if my memory serves me right, u cant find it on forum.nokia.com but on the support page of 6600.

Dun use AMR juz use WAV as ringtone man. If ur phone rings in public u'll be laughed on that kinda Quailty...

how do u make good quality wav? like this ringtone that im attaching. its just a couple of KB but the quality is good and about 30sec. tnx for the help. i cant create good quality wav. whenever i create a wav, it really doesnt sound good and when i convert it to amr, it has the same poor quality sound but smaller. i use nero wave editor to cut mp3s and then nokia multimedia converter to convert to amr or windows' built-in recorder to convert to wav. but then how do u create good quality wav?
