newb: Nokia 8860 Questions

I am new here and i just picked up a Nokia 8860 Phone, otherwise known as the matrix phone. It also came with a 8260. Are these parts interchangeable?

anyways, as i bought it used, there is no service provider or sim card.

is it possible for me to use a SIM card that is like pay as you go? i cannot afford to pay montly bills. if yes, what are some names of providers that sells pay as you go sim cards, and where can i get them?

i also read some things about unlocking, and somewhere it said that the nokia 8860 is not unlockable with the IMEI? is this true?

I see some sites on the interent that are offerening the codes for quite a hefty amount of money. I understand i can do it myself but will i need the cables etc?

also, if IMEI numbers do work with the 8860, what happens if i accidentally enter the number incorrectly?

What country are you from?
Any sim card will go in as long as it works on the same frequencies as the phone

If its a dual band phone then it should work with any sim card

You can unlock your phone by cable using an Mbus cable, these can easily be found on ebay or can be built if you are into electronics

The average mbus cable can be bought in the uk for under £3 this is cheaper than paying someone for a code that probably wont work

dct3 unlock codes are still experimental and so don't always work

The big problem of 8260 is there is no available simcard switch... How could we install such one? plss help so that we could use our given phones......
