SMS Delivery Reports

I have recently upgraded my phone to a nokia 6310i and dont have a delivery report option, my sim card came from a 3210 which i had reports on.

My network provider orange say they cannot sort this. :evil:

Is there anyway to enable delivery reports on my new phone?!

Any help would be much appreciated.

See the whether your mobile's feature of requesting delivery reports is enabled.

My mobile's (6610) option is enabled by:
Main Menu >> Messages >> Message Settings >> Text Messages >> Sending Profile >> Default Profile >> Delivery Reports >> Yes/No.

Your mobile's function will be nearly same.

i've checked with my mother's 6310i - it has delivery reports.

menu » messages » message settings » sending profile » default profile » delivery reports.

You must be using different firmware. I get as far as sending profile but cant see default profile. I'm using v5.22

the phone is in hebrew... maybe i have translated it wrong.

i've got 3 options:

1. Message centre number
2. Default recipient number
3. Use GPRS

hmm... you shall have in the same screen more than 3 options... sounds strange.. i'll check tomorrow with the same phone again..

the menu option was hidden by the service provider, however if you download nokia pc suite 4.81 for your phone from http://www.nokia.com/cda1/0,1080,1219,00.html you can activate the function from the message settings in the phone explorer.
hope that helps. (it's how i did it with mine.)
