6600 system fail (Massive - BIG problem) !!

i have nokia 6600
i bought before 1 month ..

Now the big problem is :
* my mobile don't have a contact with network !! so ==> my number appears off for dailer !!
* the sound don't work normally !! there dicontinous of waves !!!
* it's hang and show me ablow screen with details about files my b for system !!
* when i call someone i can't hear him never .. but he can !! and the phone doesn't rang !! -if there r a network- :evil:

i can't do any thing ... just remove my pic and polyphonic rings to memory card ... :sad:

just locking 2 the mobile silently !!!

by format the system or by another way ????

Try to update your software and after that format the user area and total factory reset.That should do.If even that doesnt work (i mean about microfone) then u have a hardware problem

Hi Abe! Iam a newbie, and have a problem with my 6600 in that it stopped working for the FIDO network in Canada after working for a few weeks. It does work fine on the AT&T network. I bought it unlocked from the Phils. It is made in Finland. Can you show me how to do the above what u just said. I will try it and if u have any other suggestions, I would appreciate the help. Thanks! :)

Hold:

GREEN + * + 3

while phone is booting up. Don't let go until you see the word "Formatting ..."

Then just wait for it to complete formatting. You better have sufficient battery power boy ...

That was great advice, i had various problems and wasn't aware you could self format.

This is the hard formatt which i did to my fone and has got it runnin top notch.

first make sure u have put ur fone 2 charge while doin this or make sure it has full battery already. then backup all your data to memory card, this is done by goin into, the memory option inside the tools folder.

once this is all done, remove your sim card and mem card, replace battery then press and hold this sequence of buttons, green call button, the * button and 3 then while doin this switch on the fone...(tricky i know u may need a friend) lol then formatt away!
