View Full Version : 7650 wont start "System Error"

I just messed up my friends 7650, actually I didnt do anything,
He recieved 2 ringtones that he wanted but he doesnt have a GPRS subscription so he cant access them so I swaped my sim with his so i can access them on his phone for him, but he didnt have the setting saved on this phone so i called my operator to request them to send me the settings, and they did and i saved it, but unfortunately there was no GPRS coverage there so we swaped back our sim cards, then came the problem his phone wont start it just shows system error , i tried lots of sim cards but nothin it wont open. I tried safe mode also nothin, Please anybody help me.

PS His phone was originaly Vodafone, and he unlocked it to work with other network.

Where exactly are you getting the "System Error" message..? is it jst after the Nokia sign, or later when you actually reach the standby screen..?

Hi man!

I hope you have backups of your data on the phone... :-o
Try to start the phone in safe mode (by using the function key while startting the phone), backup the data if necessary our/and possible and then restore the phone to factory defaults with a format by typing *#7370#. After that all should be ok...

Safe mode doesnt work, plus I CANT OPEN THE PHONE AT ALL just after the nokia sign "system error"

geez, u might haf to flash ur fone at nokia or sth.

My friend called me today, he said he had it fixed in NSC, and guess whats the problem........................... ?

DUST yes DUST accumelated in the phone and prevented it from working.
