I've installed a new version of Psiloc EFileManager. Now I want to use old versions, but everytime I try to install old version, get an error
"Application expired. Please download and install newer version"

The problem is, that installation of this new efileman causes also all other PSILOC apps expired (total IR, eProfiles PRO...).

What to do ? helppp

I've tried to change date. It don't work.
Looks like newer psiloc versions hide some secret file (with psiloc versions info) to phone, so it requests a never version if older is detected

I'm just waiting for someone to create the Total irRemote 1.41 KeyGen

Like they did with Total irRemote 1.32 ...

I had to do a phone hard-format (green key + * + 3), then I have been able to reinstall old psiloc.

When you format ... what's the difference between these two:

*#7370#

&

Green + * + C

Anyone know the difference?

after format (with 3 magic keys), everything is gone.

*#7370# - that didn't do much to my phone .. it just restored original factory settings, but pictures and other stuff was still there.

That's why I did GREEN+*+3 format - that's the real thing. everything is restored as it was when I bought phone

Is it equivalent to reflashing?

Say, one of your phone features is screwed up - and you need to "reinstall" or "re-flash" your firmware.

Can this format-three-key-miracle do that?

I think it just erase everything from C: and then copy original factory settings and other stuff from from Z: (ROM).

Flashing is diffrent.

the *#7370* method is used when phone is on while the other method is just in case you cant open your phone at all,you have to press the 3 buttons while your phone is off and then power it on while holding the buttons

yes, but I did *#7370* twice, and it didn't do much, just restart phone and restore factory settings... there is no [format progress barr] like in 3-key format

Hold the three buttons, keep holding them while turning the phone on.

Keep holding the buttons till the word "formatting" pops up on the screen.

Hi, I`ve been having the same problems on my N-gage. Tried formating with *73..#, didn`t do much. Read this thread, and was kinda hoping it would help. Unfortunately, it doesn`t respond to green key + * + 3.
(I`ve switched the phone off while holding them, switsched it on, with and without sim, with: it just asked for my pincode. Without: It complained about not having a sim).

Any idea what I should try next?

thnx in advance

the 3-key format only works on symbian 7 devices...

*#7370# formats my ngage and erases all my files... including images...

doesn't it really have the same effect for symbian 7 devices???

rhai: 6600 is not a symbian 7 device, but a symbian s60 device, just like the n-gage!

Hi,

Sorry but you are wrong my friend.
Nokia 6600 is a Symbian series 60, V7.0's. It's still a Series 60 phone, but Symbian version is V7.0.
N-Gage, 7650, 3650 are all Version 6.1. Older type.

Taken from Nokia site :

Display and User Interface

Bright active matrix TFT color display
65,536 colors
176 x 208 pixels
Graphical user interface with selectable themes
5-way joystick navigation
Symbian Operating System 7.0s
Series 60 platform

same happened to me. what i did was i did a safe boot, by holding down the pencil key when i switch on my phone. then i typed *#7370# and that causes the phone to restart. and while it does i hold down the 3 magic key.

Actually, it does work. The difference is that you don't see the "FORMATTING" screen.

Press the three keys together, and don't release any of them. Then, turn on the phone, and keep pressing the power key too. Wait until the phone asks you for your PIN code and then you can release all the keys (if you happen to have your SIM card inserted, otherwise, wait until phone boots up into Offline mode).

Hi there :)

I have precisely the same problems, having had several Psiloc older versions of apps installed. A new trial of IRRemote screwed them all (see my thread "How to remove traces of Psiloc" in same forum section).

I been told that a program "UnMakeSIS" will track files left by applications so that they can be manually removed. I am waiting for a reply on where to get that proggie.

And... formatting with *#7370# does almost nothing on a 3650 (Symbian 6) as well as on a 6260 (Symbian 7). On the 3650 it wipes out the GPRS settings and the time, on the 6260 ONLY the time. And the "3-button-format" won't work on 3650 but will work on 6260.

Kind regards.....

Thanh
