can the 6600 ring WAV songs?

when my 6600 phone rings, can i make it play a wav song rather than the saved polyphonic tones? This feature was amazing in 9210 but i'm wondering if it is found in 6600 as well, and plz if yes, tell me how!

easy, send a mp3 to ur fone via pc suite, it will convert to wav for u. put it in sounds/digital folder to see it in profiles.

the quality is not that bad. it will convert into AMR format instead of WAV...i personally like AMR format due to its small size...
u can dl the converter at the official nokia forum n use their search engine...
its ard 20MB...
its a reallly MUST have converter for 60s nokia user! it aso can convert VCDs into 3gp(not too bad) and MP3 into .AMR n some others...have fun! :)

when i open the file-explorer to move files, there are many drives
C:, D:, E:, Z:(ROM)
and everyone has a sounds/digital subfolder. In which one should i place the file i want to play as a ringtone?
and what are the formats that can be recognized to be played by the ringtone?
I know there is MID, WAV, any other??? like rm...

c: is you mobile phone memory and e: is supposedly your MMC card, you can install either of the two just choose one. you can play it anyway. :-P

MID, WAV, AMR, AWB can be as your ringtone. :D

Everytime I try to convert "Hey Ya.mp3" to AMR or WB AMR (which supposedly is AWB, but named Wideband AMR) it gives me this error message:

"Multimedia Converter has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost.
For more information about this error, click here"

Choice to Debug or Close.

The encoding and converting hasn't even started and this error msg comes up! WTF? I tried the Debug, and I pressed Close. How do I fix this?

I have Windows XP Professional with SP1 installed.

i had the same problem,, if you reinstall the program it should fix the problem, it worked for me.

Reinstall as in

Uninstall in "Add/Remove Programs" then Install the prog again?

Cause I just kept opening the setup.exe file and continuing installation lol
