Hi Addi.

I did the same thing when I first got my new 3510i.
If you contact your Service Provider you can get the PUK Code for it. Check your handbook for the information.

You need to use another phone to call them. Make a note of your IMEI and Phone Number before you call, and write down the PUK Code which is normally an electronic voice. Then keep a copy of the code in a safe place.

I think PUK code is for unlocking or changing PIN code, not for changing Security code. Sorry if I'm wrong.

Hi Addi.

I'm still wondering why you did not use the normal method of changing the Security Code? (Via the keypad)

I had another look at my phone (3510i) and the manual. I got confused earlier, between the SIM Card PIN Code and Security Codes.
I made an error on my new SIM Card in using the wrong PIN (the one for the original SIM) and locked myself out. I contacted the Service Provider and obtained the PUK, now I have the full use again.

I set the Security level to the "Phone" so that when I put in another SIM Card from a different Provider I was asked for the Code. After I entered the correct Code I had access. It seems though, that once you have granted access with a different SIM Card, it changes something in it. Now I can put any of my SIM Cards in my phone without being asked for the Security Code (default code is 12345)

As to what the solution is, to unlock a phone locked with a Security Code, I'm not sure. But if it happened to me, I'd take the phone, and proof of purchase, back to the shop I bought it from. I was in there once when another customer had locked themself out with the Security Code. The shop sorted the problem out in minutes, after checking for proof of ownership.

Another person had "obtained" a phone, and when they tried to use their own SIM Card in it, it asked for the Security Code, as the owner had set it up to prevent another SIM Card from being used in it. Because that person did not actually own the phone they could not legally have the phone unlocked.

Good Luck
