BARRED OR BLOCKED 7250 help me

hey im new to all this. ive got a 7250 at home, its locked or barred by the phone opertator and they refuse to open it, is it true it cant be unlocked? it was my dads and he has since passed away so they refuse to talk to me. how can i get this opened again. anyone help? ive also got 2 friends who have other newer nokia models. what equipment do i need to unblock all these phone and do i have to go abroad to buy it all? ive read i may hav to solder a new uem chip in the phones! this is ok, i can learn. please can someone tell me where i can buy this equipment legally? i live in the uk but can travel anywhere in the world for a holiday. many thanks. plz pm me or email [email protected]

I don't think its "blocked". The phone is only blocked when you buy the phone off the Service Provider on a plan.

I think the phone is barred. Either one of these possibilities:

1. They don't like (most unlikely)
2. Someone else has changed their phones IMEI and is stolen. They reported the loss/theft and it happened to be that ur IMEI is the same as "their's"
3. THey barred it by accident

I don't think it's your fault. You should talk to a nice lady (under 30 years old lol :lol: ) and see what ur Service Provider can do for you!
