Pencil Key???

What does the little key with a pencil Icon on it do ???
I really cant find a use for it.
I can do almost everything without even touchin it...
What does it actually do?
Can anyone help?

You can actually use it in messaging to change between alpha mode and no. mode or just to add a symobol kinda like a shortcut..Do read the Book that comes with the phone..

hold it, go left across the text to highlight it, u can then copy and paste.

I saw this thing on a SE T310 that I had...
It was called a right context key in that fone
with an icon of a drop down list
It had similar features

Ok apart from the help in SMSing. It doesn't do nothin else rite?
I mean no hidden shortcuts or magic wand tricks with this button in any other mode/program ....rite?

well, holding tis button when u power on ur fone goes into safe mode, so no app will start up. thus saving ram mem space.

Lol, thx for that tzeonn ... just realized that the Pencil Key can be used for Copying and Pasting (just tried it). And I was whinging all the time! lol :D

coz playing tt game require ram, and going into safe mode lets u play it. tink tts wat he meant.

i use the copy and paste stuff to enter names of mp3s by same singers. hehe.

Well, in 6600 the shoot button is the pencil key, and weapons from 1, 4 and 7.

You can also use it to check certain items to move/delete! For example in your Message Inbox if you hold down the 'pencil key' and then press the joystick in a tick will appear next to it! If you now press the joystick downwards the next message down will also have a tick next to it! Using this method you can select the messages you want to move/delete and then move/delete in bulk! ;)

Wow! thanks for that armybike6600. Never knew that feature. Just learnt from this thread that the Pencil Key can be used for Copying and Pasting as well as Bulk Deleting/Moving!

And I had the Nokia 6600 for 2 months now lol :lol:
