6610 GPRS/MMS Help

hi. i recently got an Nokia 6610 and everything works perfect except for when i try to use the GPRS/MMS service.
i am using O2 and i downloeded the settings from the site but it says "GPRS CONNECTION NOT AVAILABLE". it works fine when i use regular WAP but not GPRS/MMS
can anyone tell me if this is the phone's fault or do i have to get O2 to enable my sim to use GPRS or something like that? :-?

Yes to have to get O2 to to turn on GPRS and MMS for you to use it.
