Hi there,

i have a sticky problem in hands, a friend bought a Nokia 3310 in Portugal and he is trying to use here in Brazil.

The sim card accepts the password, but he says that the sginal is too week, and sometimes there isnīt any signal.

What can it be? Frequency? :-?

Tks. Adv.

it might be the frequeny, but i don't think it is because it does get signal sometimes like you said.

i can help you better if you tell me which network are you trying to connect to.

i've checked all ther networks in brazil, they all support GSM 1800MHz, so there is no problem with the frequency.

seems like the problem is just that you are far from a transmitter, or live in a place that is either very high, or low, or surrounded by buildings that block the transmission.

Seems like the problem it is frequency, the user Crashynot lives in Portugal and said that the frequency is diferent. Here in Brazil almost all networks work 100% in 900Mhz, so if they have a 1800Mhz support it is only for roaming services.

Tks a lot.

i still think it is not the frequency, becuase 3310 is dual-band 900/1800MHz, so it will work in a 900MHz network..

I told the owner to send the mobile to tecnical assistance, maybe they have a solution.

Tkanks for your time.
