Hi All.

Can anyone explain me how do I find the GID1 codes for a specific network?

And I've tried to unlock a 3210 (which actually is a DCT-2 phone as i've read somewhere) with code 1 and it said "Sim protection off" or somthing similar, but it didn't unlock it fully so I'm stuck, cause my 3210 lead is broken and I can't unlock it by cable.

If I could find the GID1 codes thru a 3310 \ 8850 \ 5210 with the corresponding cable then I would probably be able to unlock the 3210.

Thanks. :D

Err no, 3210/5110 ARE DCT-3

8110/3110/2110 are DCT-2

open rolis - read phone info..

if the phone's lock 2 was open, you can lock it. check the checkbox near the gid1 value, select A/F from the list, and press the "close" button (this will lock the gid1 lock to the gid1 of the first sim it finds), then restart the phone, and read info again.

Not working for me :-?

tested in three 3310: With SIM, without SIM... no luck. After checking the box, selecting A/F and the close button, nothing happened. Uppon inserting SIM the phone displayed "Waiting SIM resctriction"... whatever it means :-? Again in Rolis reading info the lock was still open.

The only way to get it close is by ticking the box and choosing F. But then no SIM is accepted since the lock is closed to 0000. Still, Unique Ultimate calc produced a GID1 unlock code (for 0000) that worked like a charm

any clues?

cheers

the message must be "sim restriction pending"... it is in the flash somewhere.

but if it couldn't find a gid1 on the sim to lock to, and the code for gid1 0000 worked, and the phone wasn't locked with lock 2 before - it looks like the gid1 value is 0000.

if a company is not willing to close lock 2, there is no point in changing the gid1 value on their simcards.

:o that's the message... memory's not good these days

Good point there... I'll have to try with diff SIM's

But if you look at what the GID fields mean (user group according to Rolis) maybe just those phones sold to companies for their employees have the fields locked and only accept special SIM cards

I was sure the code for Virgin was 23400?

I know they used to share T-Mobile codes, but am pretty sure they have their own designated code now.

Also, does anyone have a Op code for the new BT network, not O2(BT Cellnet)?

I thought the 23430 for virgin was when they started with Tmobile then went to 23400 but the newer phones on virgin ie 3510i is 23400001 well this is the code I had to put in to unlock as wouldnt work with the same code as virgin locked 8310.
