@uelulv03b
check if the phone is locked.. it might be unlocked out of factory.

@PCGoncalves
if you post such code requests in the forum - you will be banned.
read the rules, read the instructions, and download the software.

check your o/s version. I am trying to unlock my 6310i, but it has version 5.10 which it appears that most calculators do not support. I am down to 1 or 2 attempts left.

unlock codes are not depended on the phone's firmware version.

if you have calculated the codes correctly (and you're sure all the details are correct), then try another simcard. the phone may already be unlocked.

I have read on various pages of problems with unlocking the later versions of the 6310i. Am I confusing these problems with those using cables and software rather than codes?

I have not tried another SIM yet but I would be very surprised that T-Mobile have not locked it, particularly given the number of other folk trying to unlock T-Mobile UK mobiles.

Can I just check what I am doing. I have "Code Calculator" by Cyber GSM. My network is T-Mobile UK 23430. The DCT4 type is Type 2. Calculate "V2" codes should be ON and "Griffin" OFF. Then use the first code at start up without a SIM in.

I believe that I have done the correct things and don't think that I have mistyped. I just want to be sure before I put in anymore codes.

If it does go belly up, will it be easy enough to go to any one of a number of non-franchised dealers and get it unlocked by cable despite the firmware being version 5.10 which several programs do not support as the protection seems to be better.

TIA

direct unlocking software (for cable unlocking) are depended on the firmware version of the phone, code are not.

it appears that all the details are correct, if the code didn't work - it is probably not locked out of factory. (i know it's hard to believe, but it happens ;) ).

before trying anymore codes - try another simcard. i'm sure you can find one.

try also the last code. I think that the first code is only for us providers.. not a 100% sure... but, try the last one.

Remember, only five tries. And, yes, the codes seem to be alright. And Yotamz is right, the codes unlocking does not depend on thr firmware version.

Also if the codes generated with v2 key does not work, (the first one and the last one), you can try with griffin clip (i use the unique calculator, it worked perfectly on the three 1100s that I've unlocked). In the unique it looks like GTCL-0001 (33552).

Good luck

griffin clip codes are only for 1100, they might not work on your 6310i.
always use v2.

@prd (paul) sorry pal, really. Didn't know that griffin codes were only for 1100.

@Yotamz: Are there other exceptions, or all nokias can be code unlocked with v2 key except the 1100?

Thanks in Advance!

yes.... at least for now..

if nokia blacklists the box-serial of what we call "v2" - 33820, then we'll have to start using something else.

someone said once that every box serial will unlock any phone, except the "v1" (32820) which was blacklisted... we shall check that.. if someone is willing to give up one of his 5 tries for the community ;) i would.. but i don't have any locked phone..

but the "rules" that griffin clip is for 1100, and v2 for all others were found in the internet, they might and might not be correct. but as long as griffin clip works for 1100 - we can keep using it.

I have finally managed to get hold of another non T-Mobile sim. Unbelievably, my T-Mobile phone was unlocked and I am now up and running on Orange. I have never come across a one2one (T-Mobile) phone that was not locked.

Either way, cool!!

Thanks for the help.
