UNLOCK 7600 on 3

Im in the UK and have a 7600 locked on 3. Can someone help me figure out how I can Unlock it??

what do you mean "locked on 3"?

3 is the name of a network in the UK...its the only third generation network operational here... the phone is locked onto their service and I cant use any other networks sim card.

ok...just checked... the network code for hutchison 3g (3) is - 23420.

use the calculator found in a thread on top of this section, type in your imei, the network code 23420, and asic type 5.

then take out the sim, and use the 7th code from the program.

Hi there

I have entered the wrong code twice.. I really really need help....

I used the calculator found in a thread on top of this section, typed in my imei, the network code 23420, and asic type 5.

Then I took out the sim, and used the 7th code from the program...

It said CODE ERROR.. I think I need ot put something in the key code box... and what do I choose in the box next to it??

Please help me!!!

Hi there... in the field under ASIC type 5 there is a box to enter key code and a drop down next to it containing griffin new, griffin old etc..what to i choose in there two fields??

as a guess i would say that the new griffin will work

but - i've never tried to unlock a 7600 before (have never even seen one), so i don't want to tell you somehing that may waste the last chance.

i suggest that you wait for someone who have unlocked this type before to reply, or try finding the answer in the net..

at the worst case, if you can't find the solution - do not waste your last retry, buy the correct code from your provider, it might be expansive, but it is the best way (and it will also help others with 7600).

not sure about asic 5.. untill now all the symbian models used this type, but about the new ones like 6600, 7600, 7700 - nokia may have changed it..
