Have any surrounding components been effected in any way when the chip was being changed?
don't think so, have try replacing back the old Coba, it still works but after 10 sec no network.

The COBBA is not faulty, When replaced the COBBA it is normal to see SIM CARD REJECTED. What a Nokia Service center would then do is rebuild the IMIE and SIM lock settings as the MSID is kept in the COBBA. The problem with the 3310 dropping may be C508 near the HAGGAR. It is a know common fault.

@wanarace
yeah man...i agree.... its normal to see SIM CARD REJECTED...but if still C.S. means u have a bad cobba. Can try using Rolis 1.8 to update faid / change to original IMEI / unlock SP....
@wanarace
can you advise on how to rebuilt it?
thanks

if u cannot remove sim lock means ur flash or cpu is dead try flash and then cpu
i also experience parallel cobba failed on my 3310, i use eeprom tools in diagnosing that problem.. should i change the cobba ic? for now id experience CONTACT SERVICE on the phone..:(

YOU IDIOT YOUR PHONE NOW REQUIRES A IMEI REBUILD THE OFFICAL WAY AND ONLY A LEVEL 4 SERVICE CENTRE CAN DO THIS.
LOOK AT YOUR SIMLOCK INFO IT WILL LOOK SOMETHING LIKE THIS
LOCK 1 CLOSED EEEEEEEEE
LOCK 2 CLOSED FFFFFFFFFFFFF
LOCK 3 CLOSED >>>>>>>>>
LOCK 4 CLOSED ??????????????
